Prior experience with the system NetSuite would be a bonus (but is not essential).


Profile criteria:


  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA studier who is partqualified and is ideally nearing or at Finalist stage
  • Solid management accounting experience with a good foundation of accounting skills and knowledge
  • Someone who has the desire and ambition to grow their skills and experience as an accountant and is keen to make a positive impression, add value and take on various tasks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ideally university educated but open if someone has studied up to A' Levels (but should at least have good grades at this level) and has the necessary experience
  • Availability immediately or on a short notice period

Role Purpose
The role reports to the Finance Manager and is responsible for the provision of support with the preparation of monthly management accounts, year-end audit and statutory reporting


Key Accountabilities:


  • Preparing monthly accruals and prepayments based on P&L analysis
  • Preparing monthly payroll accounting journals for UK and international entities
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations (including bank reconciliation review)
  • Preparing commentaries on OPEX costs
  • Overseeing production of fixed assets register
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Review monthly, quarterly and annual National Statistics returns and other annual returns
  • Dealing with the annual audit assisting in preparation of audit and providing requested information
  • Perform adhoc duties within the accounting department
