    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Piping Manager/Supervisor to oversee all aspects of piping installation, maintenance, and testing in our maritime operations. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in all elements of piping, particularly within shipbuilding or ship repair environments. This role requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

    Project Planning and Management:

    • Lead and coordinate piping projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
    • Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, material procurement, and scheduling of activities.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure project success.

    Piping Installation and Fabrication:

    • Oversee the installation, fabrication, and modification of piping systems onboard ships, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to piping technicians and subcontractors involved in installation activities.
    • Review piping drawings, isometric diagrams, and other technical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

    Quality Assurance and Testing:

    • Develop and implement quality control procedures for piping installation and testing processes.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications
    • Coordinate and participate in pressure testing, leak detection, and other testing activities to verify the integrity and performance of piping systems.

    Safety and Compliance:

    • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel involved in piping operations.
    • Conduct safety meetings, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, classification society rules, and regulatory requirements governing piping systems in maritime applications.

    Team Leadership and Development:

    • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of piping technicians and contractors.
    • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the piping department.
    Qualifications
    • Significant experience in piping installation, fabrication, and testing, with specific experience in maritime or shipbuilding industries.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing piping projects from conception to completion, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
    • In-depth knowledge of piping materials, components, fabrication techniques, and welding processes.
    • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ABS, DNV, Lloyd's Register, and ASME B31 series codes.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Certification in relevant areas such as welding inspection, pressure vessel inspection, or project management is a plus.
