MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Tyne and Wear, with their plans for growth and expansion, by recruiting a permanent Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

The Job You'll Do;

  • Performing scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to minimise unplanned downtime and quality concerns.
  • Performing effective diagnosis of breakdowns and timely repair of equipment to maximise availability
  • Documenting breakdowns to help identify and resolve reoccurring issues.
  • Analysis of issues to root cause and development of countermeasures, improvement actions and/or suggestions to improve.
  • Working cross functionally to produce effective maintenance strategies, procedures and methods.
  • Working collaboratively with Production and Quality departments to ensure the highest level of build quality is achieved after any intervention and throughout the working life of equipment.
  • Provide effective verbal reports to Team Members.

About You;

  • Electromechanical knowledge of process and equipment maintenance
  • Experience of PLC systems including Siemens (preferred)
  • Experience of manufacturing equipment and troubleshooting issues
  • Previous experience within a fastpaced manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • HNC or 18th Edition
  • Be a logical problem solver with excellent faultfinding abilities.
  • Be an effective communicator at all levels.
  • Have completed a Maintenance Engineering Apprenticeship.
