Python Developer - Edinburgh -

NearTech is working with a prominent media organisation on the outskirts of Edinburgh, and is supporting their search for an additional Python Developer. The firm currently boasts 35+ within their strong and agile development team, fostering a community of diverse talents united by a commitment to inform, entertain, and delight audiences globally with their innovative solutions.

Within the role as a Python Developer for them, you'll be able to:

• Collaborate within a cross-functional team to drive the largest digital transformation in the company's history.
• Develop and maintain high-quality software applications, mentoring and learning from colleagues.
• Influence the refinement of the software development life cycle and engineering practices.
• Work across the entire technology stack, using the best tools for the job.
• Deliver robust solutions within pragmatic timescales and innovate engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate within a cross-functional team in an Agile environment.
• Review problems and design solutions iteratively within Python
• Pursue personal development and mentor more junior colleagues.
• Influence technical requirements and project priorities.
• Participate in innovating engineering practices and creating intuitive software projects.

Nice to have's:

• The team uses a variety of backend software languages such as PHP, Python, C# as well as others such as SQL and JS. Whilst this is a Python position, knowledge of additional languages is extremely advantageous.

This is a hybrid role from Edinburgh, please only apply if you can travel to offices there 2-days a week.
