Simon Acres Recruitment are working a fantastic Vinyl Flooring company based out of
Coventry who are looking for a
Business Development Manager to join their incredible team.


Salary Circa £40,000 - £45,000 + Bonus and Company Car


Hybrid working from home with 2 to 3 days in the office


Main Responsibilities:


To implement a national sales strategy which introduces new products to the UK Apartment Living sector to deliver sales growth, profitability, and business development within this area.


To develop new business with inner-city High-rise developers, SME developers, Housing Associations and Retirement Living providers whilst managing existing clients and projects to ensure service levels are maintained and relationships are strengthened.


  • Identify and develop channels and routes to market.
  • Introduction and sale of appropriate new products.
  • Develop and implement strategy to grow business.
  • Understanding routes to the consumer and identifying gaps in the portfolio.
  • Prepare sales forecasts for the introduction of new products.
  • Manage the Average Selling Price (ASP) of all new product sales through the residential business by exerting control over pricing to ensure an appropriate margin.
  • Carry out senior negotiations creating relationships at corporate level and present to key strategic customers.
  • Develop a network of contacts throughout the Apartment Living sectors to establish market size, product requirements, price expectations and technical/environmental requirements.
  • Identify any product requirements needed and put these forward through the New Product Development process.
  • Engage the with key contacts, developing relationships with major building companies.
  • Working to agreed KPI's and maintaining professionalism and diligence.
  • Effective use of CRM (SalesForce) ensuring all agreed corporate measures are met.

The Ideal Applicant:


  • Negotiation and presentation skills
  • Track record of New Business development and sales negotiation
  • Understanding of Residential construction industry and specification
  • Willingness to travel UK wide
  • Driving licence
This is a national role with the majority of business being in and around the London area but opportunity for growth all over the country
