    We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.     Responsibilities:

  • Process sales representatives' expenses accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Handle the processing of UK supplier invoices and ensure they are properly documented.
  • Post payments made to UK suppliers and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform reconciliation of UK supplier statements to maintain accurate accounts.
  • Manage weekly payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.
  • Execute payment runs once a week (Fridays), processing vendor payments efficiently.
  • Prepare and distribute reports every Monday and Friday, providing insights into financial Reconcile accounts payable, ensuring accurate records and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Calculate and process German commission payments.
  • Manage commission calculations for M&M Agency.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations for the following accounts: NatWest US$ and Euro accounts, HSBC, Petty Cash Warehouse GBP, PCASHGBP, Petty Cash Euro, and Petty Cash
  • Reconcile fixed assets, including L & B depreciation provision, M V disposals, P & M depreciation provision, F, E & C depreciation provision, and intangibles charges for the year.
  • Maintain and review deferred income and accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage accruals for various expenses.
  • Handle sundry pre-payments, including rent pre-prepayments.
    Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar finance role, preferably within the retail/wholesale sector.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
