11kv Senior Authorised Person - Scottish Power (Manweb)


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and manage the safe operation of 11kv OHLs and equipment across multiple sites.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Review and assess work plans, risk assessments, and method statements for electrical works.
  • Coordinate and supervise electrical operations, including switching operations, isolations, and earthing.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards or non-compliance issues.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and maintenance, to plan and execute electrical works.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote safety awareness and best practices.
  • Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation of electrical operations and safety measures.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding electrical operations and safety matters.
  • Participate in emergency response activities, including storm restoration and outage management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to electrical systems and operations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and systems related to electrical operations.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with team members and other stakeholders.

Requirements:


  • Extensive experience in working with 11kv electrical systems and equipment.
  • Hold valid Senior Authorised Person (SAP) certification for 11kv systems.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively coordinate and supervise

Job Types:

Salary:
£70,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
