A global leading manufacturer of complex components and critical solutions to the aerospace, defence and technology sectors has a new vacancy for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer.

An experienced Senior Engineer who has worked in a complex machining environment,you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, implementing best practise and taking a lead role in the delivery of successful new product launches.

Salary:
£ 40,000 -£46,000 p.a. + benefits

Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Engineering Manager, Lead Engineer.

The Role
Develop standard operating procedures for all aspect of production and ensure process capability

Lead projects using Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve new and existing products

Lead continuous improvement activities

Work closely with R&D to ensure that new products are successfully launched

Identify and implement best practise machine tools and tools to make significant step changes to manufacturing efficiency.

Write Manufacturing process documentation including test procedures, quality control plans, manufacturing procedures

Support design and change management processes

Lead manufacturing reviews including Critical Design Reviews

Support Operations and Engineering in the introduction of new manufacturing processes

The Person
Degree in engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience

Experience working in complex machining manufacturing

Ability to work in fast paced/cross-functional team environment

Experience developing new process methods, driving continuous improvement activities and ability to define tooling requirements and developing manufacturing estimates for BOMs.

CAD/CAM Experience preferable (not essential)
