Step Teachers are working with a school that are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Behaviour Cover Supervisor to join their team and contribute to the positive and inclusive learning environment in their school.

The Behaviour Cover Supervisor will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and supportive atmosphere for students, ensuring the continuation of effective behaviour management strategies in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting students' social and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:


  • Implement preestablished behaviour management plans in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
  • Provide a supportive and structured environment for students to continue their learning during the teacher's absence.
  • Effectively manage and address any behavioural challenges that may arise.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Follow school policies and procedures regarding behaviour management and student discipline.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor working with students in an educational setting, preferably in a behaviour support role.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and positive behaviour support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to different classroom environments.
  • Commitment to the wellbeing and success of all students.
