    Philosophy &; Ethics Teacher

    Location: West Suffolk District

    Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time

    Are you passionate about igniting intellectual curiosity and fostering critical thinking skills in young minds? An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Philosophy &; Ethics Teacher to join a vibrant educational community in the West Suffolk District in September 2024.

    Key Responsibilities for Philosophy &; Ethics Teacher:

    • Develop and deliver engaging lessons in Philosophy &; Ethics for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
    • Cultivate a stimulating learning environment that encourages philosophical inquiry and ethical reflection.
    • Support students in developing their analytical, argumentative, and ethical reasoning skills.
    • Plan and implement a diverse range of instructional strategies to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities.
    • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary connections and enhance the overall educational experience.
    • Engage with parents and guardians to foster a collaborative approach to student development.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/ QTLS)
    • Previous experience as a Philosophy &; Ethics Teacher
    • Specialization or significant coursework in Philosophy, Ethics, or a related field.
    • Experience teaching Philosophy &; Ethics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 levels, with a proven track record of student achievement.
    • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for exploring philosophical concepts and ethical dilemmas.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
    • Commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to teaching practice.
