- Provision of person-centred, professional nursing care to residents within Older Adults nursing homes and Short-Term Services.
- Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care plans for a designated number of residents.
- Maintaining accurate records on resident care and reporting clinical and non-clinical events to assist with internal and external audits.
- Supervising, mentoring, supporting and educating more junior staff in the home.
- Liaising with other healthcare professionals and work in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring a timely escalation when needed.
- Promoting good practice to achieve continuous improvements in nursing care and assist with audit trials and bench marking clinical services within the home.
- Phlebotomy, injections, syringe pumps, insertion/removal of urinary catheters and removal of sutures.

- Qualified Nurse with current NMC registration
- Good knowledge and understanding of elderly care and the Health and
- Social Care agenda.
- Good working knowledge of clinical governance standards.
- An understanding of how care is delivered in a social care setting.
- Experience of working in a relevant health or social care setting.
- Experience of involving residents/families or carers in care planning,
- monitoring and evaluating services.
- Good clinical skills.

- communication where necessary, demonstrating patience.

Main duties of the job
As a Nurse you'll deliver a broad range of healthcare services to olderpeople with mental and physical health needs, offering long termdementia care and bed based reablement for hospital leavers, so no twodays are ever the same.
