    This is an exciting opportunity for a physiotherapist who may be newly qualified or wanting to specialise in respiratory care.

    Come and work for the Knowsley Community Respiratory Service We are a large innovative integrated respiratory service providing respiratory care closer to the patients home.

    The service provides diagnostic and optimisation clinics, admission avoidance, virtual wards, pulmonary rehabilitation, oxygen services, smoking cessation and psychology.

    Assessment for suitable patients and running of pulmonary rehabilitation services - including classes, 1:1 support, home exercise programmes, community walks and digital support.

    Ambulatory oxygen assessment and prescription

    Please be aware this is a community post - access to effective method of transport across the borough to transport equipment is essential.

    CLINICALTo be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including the management of the patients in your careTo undertake an assessment of patients, using clinical reasoning skills and manual techniques to provide a physiotherapy diagnosis of their conditionTo formulate and deliver individual and group physiotherapy treatment programmes based upon knowledge of the evidence of the treatment options available.

    To be responsible for planning and prioritising own case load.
    To take delegated responsibility from senior colleagues for managing and treating patients. To represent physiotherapy at MDT meetings and discussion patient care.

    To manage clinical risk within own patient case loadTo work within Trust and CSP clinical guidelines and have a working knowledge of national and local standards and monitor own quality of practiceFollowing completion of respiratory care competencies, to work on the rapid response and on-call service including provision of PGDsTo be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient treatment records in line with Trust and CSP standards.

    previous band 5 experience

    Ability to participate in weekend and on-call rota
