    Join GRIDSERVE as a Head of Electrical Design, for the EV superhubs.

    Responsible for the delivery of design for industrial services for EV Forecourts & commercial battery & hybrid systems as required.

    Oversee the design and plan the engineering resource required for multiple projects as required by the business

    • Manage design engineering teams to produce electrical designs for Electric Forecourts and solar/hybrid as required
    • Manage the development and coordination of the engineering team capability and performance to help create and deliver the business growth strategy and the engineering strategy
    • Manage internal and external stakeholders ensuring the timely and cost-effective completion of design
    • Deliver HV, LV and AC Designs, at a project level using internal and specialist tractors
    • Responsibility for ensuring technical solutions and designs meet technical electrical standards and CDM regulations (where applicable).
    • Ensure quality of design meets company standards, including single line diagrams
    • Manage the preparation and submission of DNO applications or similar local network operators internationally
    • Act as the point of escalation for all design engineering matters on Forecourts
    • To be responsible for the project related engineering budgets
    • Support local and international team members with commercial tenders and planning applications, support legal & project delivery teams, as required
    • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System, compliant with ISO standards
    Experience of working within a similar senior technical design role, managing multiple projects

    • Experience in system design of large-scale capital projects to time and budget
    • Experience in managing high-performance teams (cross-functional experience highly desirable)
    In depth knowledge of DC & AC (LV) systems, understanding of electrical schematics, PV system layouts and HV system designs

    • Ability to analyse and interpret performance data by reviewing working systems
    • Knowledge of safety features, grounding, disconnectors, system testing, and troubleshooting
    • Advanced IT skills and be fully conversant with the Microsoft Office suite
    • Proficient in AutoCAD
    • Flexible mindset, team player and solutions driven
    Degree or an equivalent level of qualification in Electrical or Mechanical engineering

    • Full UK driving licence
