The Holly Hospital | Breast Care | Permanent | Part time |

18 hours per week - flexible working days/hours to accommodate patient needs

We have an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to join our Breast Care Nursing team.


You will responsible for the delivery of quality care in line with the Nuffield way of Caring, to meet patient's health and wellbeing needs, supporting individuals (and their loved ones) with (or who fear they may have) breast cancer.

You will support the breast team to deliver high quality, clinically effective patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Along the way, you'll build strong relationships with the multi-disciplinary breast team, oncology team, consultants, a wide range of healthcare professionals and, of course, patients.

We are looking for a part-time HCA ideally with Health & Social care level 3 qualification,.

We need caring individuals who respect their patients and colleagues, you must be able to communicate at all levels and be a strong patient advocate.


To succeed as a Breast Care Healthcare assistant, you will:

Be willing to adapt to department and patient needs: Flexibility will be key in this role
Have a variety of experience
Be patient & family centred
Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and IT literacy
Be a real team player within the breast and oncology service but also with other teams in the hospital
Have a keen eye for detail in varied and changing situations
A passion for development and training are also essential
Successful completion of the Care Certificate (or equivalent)
Health & Social care level 3 qualification (preferred)
Venepuncture would be an asset
