    HR Apprentice


    Location:
    Hybrid, Sandwich, Kent (Infrequent travel to other sites or meetings may be required)

    5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Over the course of the apprenticeship, allocated time away from day-to-day role will be given to work on Apprenticeship studies. 25 days annual leave

    As an HR Apprentice, you will work closely with our experienced HR team to support various aspects of human resources management.

    You will assist in recruitment processes, employee onboarding and offboarding, payroll administration, HR database maintenance, and other general HR duties and projects.

    This role offers a unique opportunity to develop essential HR skills in a supportive and growing environment.

    As HR Apprentice, you'll work side-by-side the HR Business Partner, Head of HR and Talent Acquisition Lead, gaining invaluable real-world experience from day one.

    We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an HR Apprentice.

    This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of human resources management while studying towards a nationally recognised qualification.

    The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced HR team, supporting recruitment, employee onboarding, payroll administration, HR database management, and other general HR duties.


    General HR duties:
    Assist employees with enquiries and requests around our systems, processes, and policies.
    Maintain regular communication with new hires, ensuring completion of required clearances and accurate input of data into systems.
    Provide accurate data and backups to the payroll department to meet monthly deadlines.
    Maintain the HR database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records for current employees and organisational changes.
    Support the HR team in ad hoc projects and tasks, contributing to the department's overall objectives and initiatives.
    Assist the HR Business Partner during benefit enrolment periods and renewals, ensuring employees receive necessary information and support.

    Provide effective and accurate administrative support for HR-related interactions and changes, including producing promotion, transfer, pay increase, and employment change letters.

    Assist the HR team in managing employee relations matters, including minute taking.
    Manage electronic personnel files, ensuring compliance with Data Protection and GDPR regulations and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.


    Training and Development:

    Throughout the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will undergo a structured apprenticeship program designed to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours for the role.

    Approximately 80% of the apprentice's time will be dedicated to on-the-job learning, ensuring practical application of newly acquired skills.

    Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4-9 (A-C) or above (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
