Description
To provide a friendly welcome to patients, family, friends and carers attending the Unit.

To liaise with technical staff (Cardiac Physiologists and Cardiographers) during clinics to ensure that the clinics are run in an efficient manner and that there is a smooth throughput of workload, liaise directly with patients and parents and other hospital disciplines of staff in order to arrange appointments for patients to attend for cardiac assessment tests.


To deal with telephone enquiries and receive departmental visitors and arrange business appointments as required, liaise with the technical staff (Cardiac Physiologists and Cardiographers) in order to assist in maintaining their workload diary with respect to clinics and pre-booked tests.

Being the first point of contact for receiving verbal complaints from patients, and advising them of the Trust Complaints Procedure, contacting PALS where necessary.
