_A day in the life of a Quality Assurance_

  • Monitor existing Quality Assurance standards, including local government standards, policy and developing new responses where necessary.
  • Embed equalities practice into Quality Assurance, service practice and operational guidance ensuring compliance with Equality Impact Assessments, Business Continuity/ Emergency Plans and implementation as set out in the Company's Equal Opportunities Policy.
  • Implement an integrated quality monitoring tool with partners and stakeholders that promote the meeting of service users assessed needs.
  • Carry out monitoring visits to verify progress, review care quality achievements and undertake reviews as appropriate and in accordance with agreed standards
  • Contribute to deliver and/or devise joint service appraisals and audits of social care support plans and case files, supervision records, etc, as required.
  • Work with Safeguarding, social workers, and CQC colleagues to ensure that risks are effectively managed with service users and staff.
  • Other duties as requested.

Must haves:


  • Ability to deliver at home care when required.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • High level of organisational skills.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 (or working towards) in Health and Social Care or Work.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead, delegate and mentor staff.
  • Able to work flexibly, and extended hours where necessary.
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest standards of care.
