    SEN KS1 Teaching Assistant

    Location: Dukinfield, Tameside

    Salary: £17,500 - £23,500 depending on Experience

    Start Date: ASAP

    GSL Education is currently seeking a SEN KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Dukinfield, Tameside. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the educational journey of young learners with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide one-on-one support to KS1 students with ASC, assisting them with their learning and development.
    • Implement tailored strategies and interventions to support the individual needs of each student.
    • Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCO to ensure the provision of a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
    • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional growth.
    • Assist with the planning and delivery of differentiated activities to meet the diverse needs of learners.

    Requirements:

    • Experience working with children with ASC or similar SEN needs is highly desirable.
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to adapt to the varying needs of individual students.
    • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support would be advantageous.
