    Job summary

    We currently have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our established Digital First Primary Care (DFPC) Programme team. After a highly successful first year of the programme, we are seeking to embed and build on the digital transformation advances made in primary care. Key to this will be supporting primary care change management to optimize the digital solutions in place to realise the full benefits.

    In 2024/25 the programme will focus on the following key areas:

  • Change management support to practices in meeting the digital capabilities set out in Primary Care Access Recovery Plan & adopting a Modern General Practice Access model.
  • Establishing general practice digital champions.
  • Promotion of the digital front door, including increasing registrations for the NHS App and promotion of its functionality.
  • Ensuring all practices in the Black Country are utilising the register with a GP service.
  • The post may also be offered as a secondment opportunity.

    Main duties of the job

    The key purpose of the role is to manage and ensure delivery of projects that make up the Digital First Primary Care (DFPC) Programme, contributing to achievement of the vision for Digital Optimisation. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

  • Sound understanding of project methodologies
  • Experience in project management and supporting change management processes in primary care.
  • Good skills in communications and stakeholder management, particularly with general practices.
  • Knowledge of general practice and management of digital projects within primary care.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of EMIS Web and/or TPP SystmOne.

  • Interpret, investigate and resolve complex issues were theremay be a range of options available
  • Provide specialist advice across a range of Digital andPrimary Care issues
  • Undertake complex and detailed information analysis ofspecific projects
  • Monitor and track risks and issues and its proactiveresolution and escalation processes
  • Provide coordination of and participate in relevant meetings,reporting and providing information advice and support where requested
  • Work with SeniorManager and key stakeholder to investigate the causes of any variance fromplan/delivery targets and contribute to the implementation of solutions

  • Skills for communication on complex matters and difficult situations, requiring persuasion and influence

  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent specialist level of experience of working at a similar level in complex specialist area
  • PRINCE2 Foundation level or significant specialist experience of using the methodology in the workplace and on projects
