ABOUT THE VENUE:
Peppermint Events are excited to offer a new opportunity at their brand-new F&B Venue, Riverside East in Queen Elizabeth Park, London. Based in the heart of the iconic Olympic Park this venue will be re imagined to become a multi functioning destination F&B space, comprising of the large outside courtyard area which will host a range of events from fan zones to Sunday markets all year round with innovation such as self-service Beer Taps as well as a wide range of entertainment.
THE ROLE
We are seeking enthusiastic bartenders to join our team at Riverside East. Working as part of our bar team is a varied role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, engaging with the public, and ensuring a memorable experience for all customers. You will report directly to the bar manager and during your shift you must fulfill your role and ensure you are presenting a positive image of the venue by being polite and friendly, conducting yourself in a professional manner at all times. Potential candidates must have great physical stamina, great time-keeping skills, and the ability to work under pressure. The hours are flexible, but can also be demanding.
Bar Operations
● Taking beverage orders from customers and serving drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail.
● Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for customers.
● Mixing beverages where required using an extensive range of ingredients.
● Having full knowledge of the cocktail drink specifications served at the venue – note you will be periodically tested for your knowledge of these as part of your role.
● Restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies.
● Keeping your workstation clean and tidy at all times.
● Complying with all food and beverage regulations.
● Operating a challenge 25 policy on all transactions.
● Correctly using the till system to record sales.
Customer Service
● Assessing bar customers' needs and preferences and making recommendations/upselling.
● Interacting with customers, taking orders and satisfying their requests in a timely manner.
● Staying guest focused and nurturing an excellent guest experience.
● Ensuring everyone is having a great Freight Island experience
● We work in a fast-paced environment, and we have to cover a lot of ground. It is expected that you work with a sense of urgency and take pride in the levels of service that you are giving both to our customers and to our vendors.
Reporting to Bar Manager/Operations Manager
Key Working Relationships: AGM, Senior Bar Manager, Bar Manager, Bar Supervisor and Barback Supervisors
