    IT Manager / Infrastructure Lead – MSP, Hertfordshire

    Does the idea of making a significant difference in the quality of IT in multiple, small businesses, excite you?

    This is the lead technician role, designing & supporting technology solutions for 20 clients (with over 250 users) of an expanding MSP.

    Reporting to the owner of the MSP, you will assume the IT Manager role for all customers, building relationships with staff, always seeking to improve the user experience.

    The company is highly client-focused, building trusted relationships, and dedicating time to understand their needs and delivering a white-glove service when needed.

    The role is home-based, servicing clients in Hertfordshire, mostly remotely.

    Responsibilities:

    • IT Management: Design, maintain, and develop all clients' IT solutions.
    • Support: Provide 3rd Line support on tickets escalated by the Service Desk
    • Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects, ensuring timely completion.
    • Network Security: Implement robust security measures, configuring firewalls, managing VPNs, and safeguarding network infrastructure against potential threats.
    • Server Administration & Virtualisation: Manage server operations and virtual environments, utilizing tools like VMWare, PowerShell, and SSH for peak performance and reliability.
    • Cloud Services Management: Manage and integrate cloud solutions, including Azure, Office 365, and Zoom, ensuring seamless operation and service coherence.
    • Data Backup & Recovery: Implement and maintain data backup procedures and disaster recovery operations.
    • Cross-Platform Proficiency: Strong familiarity with both Windows & Mac. Proficiency with Linux is a bonus.
    • IT Policy Development and Documentation: Develop robust IT policies and procedures, ensuring comprehensive documentation of customer IT configurations for clarity and compliance.
    • User Training & Support: Provide training and support to client's staff.
    • Staff Development: Build a team as the business grows; upskill 3rd party Service Desk Analysts wherever possible
