    Position: Regional Medical Lead - Rare Disease

    Overview: Our client is at the forefront of developing innovative therapies for rare diseases. They are currently in search of a Regional Medical Lead. This key role will drive the medical strategy and oversee activities for ground-breaking treatments across the International Region. The successful candidate will possess a unique combination of scientific knowledge and strategic acumen, contributing significantly to the advancement of care and delivery of high-quality medicines for individuals living with rare diseases.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Strategize and implement the International Medical Plan for rare diseases, aligning with the overarching global medical strategy.
    • Facilitate clinical and scientific input into global product launch strategies, publication plans, and medical teams.
    • Organise and lead international scientific educational and advice-seeking events, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key Global and National Thought Leaders, Patient Advocacy Groups, Regulators, and Payers.
    • Aid in post-approval data generation efforts, including research and non-interventional studies.
    • Drive the development and implementation of a digital strategy for rare diseases across the International Region.
    • Provide disease and product-related training to medical teams in different countries, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.

    Candidate Qualifications:

    • Holds an advanced degree (MD/MPharm/Pharmacist), with additional qualifications in Pharmaceutical Medicine being advantageous.
    • Demonstrated experience in medical affairs within the biopharmaceutical industry, especially in rare diseases, and more specifically Lysosomal disorders.
    • A proven track record of launching new medicines and executing medical affairs strategies on an international scale.
    • Exceptional leadership abilities and experience with cross-functional team collaboration.
    • Superior communication skills, fluent in English, with proficiency in a second language (French, Spanish, German) beneficial.
    • Prepared for international travel up to 40% of the time.
