    This role is hybrid. You will come to our office in London at least once a week.

    As the Technical Accounting Manager at Databricks, you will play a key role in refining our financial operations and ensuring adherence to accounting standards. Your responsibilities include both technical accounting and financial reporting, where you'll offer vital accounting advice and handle the preparation and review of financial statements. This supports our business expansion across multiple markets. You'll contribute to strategic financial decisions and solve the challenges of a dynamic financial landscape. You will report directly to the Director of International Accounting.

    The impact you will have:
    • Monitor all accounting and regulatory policies to ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations
    • Manage the U.S. GAAP to local GAAP differences for international subsidiaries on a monthly or quarterly basis
    • Work in partnership with other departments (tax, treasury, legal, M&A) to consider and advise on new or complex accounting scenarios
    • Provide information, support, and work with external auditors and advisors
    • Contribute to the preparation of financial statements for our international subsidiaries including the statements and notes structure, ensuring completeness of disclosures under the appropriate accounting standards and helping respond to audit queries
    • Compile literature and communicate changes to accounting policies and practice to relevant team members
    • Manage local statutory annual audit and financial statement reporting process and prepare necessary schedules, reconciliations, and analyses
    • Support business growth activities including expansion into new countries, due diligence reviews, and establishment of accounting policies for new entities
      What we look for:
      • Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent) with 5+ years post-qualification experience
      • Experience in the preparation, review, or audit of financial statements under US GAAP, FRS 102, or IFRS.
      • In-depth understanding of regulatory/statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
      • Experience working across a global organization
      • Conduct complex data analysis, which may require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors
      • Experience and success in rapidly expanding settings, where flexibility and a drive for optimization are essential.
      • GSuite and Excel skills (maintaining complex spreadsheets and employing complex formulas)
