The Senior Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA) role has three components: 1) to provide day to day management, leadership, consultation and safeguarding advice to the Advocates and ISVAs in the team.

2) to build and manage the service, develop pathways and provide training and awareness raising to help the systems around children and young people to understand and respond to disclosures of sexual abuse in an empathic and appropriate way, and 3) to carry a discreet caseload of up to 15 children and young people as required.

The Senior Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA) post-holder will be a qualified ISVA, providing case management, line management and internal operational leadership to the Wellbeing team.

The team will be made up of two Child and Young Person's (CYP) Wellbeing Advocates and one CYP ISVA.

The Senior ISVA will work within a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive framework to provide detailed advice and guidance to the team on all client cases whilst supporting good governance and client flow through the service.

The post holder will work with the project's Consultant Clinical Lead and Havens Lead ISVA to develop referral pathways, alongside meeting with professionals across education, social care, health, and criminal justice to build and promote the service and improve outcomes for children and young people who have experienced sexual violence and abuse.
