    We are looking for a Proactive Maintenance Lead. As the cornerstone of our proactive maintenance team, you will ensure our IT systems' optimal performance, reliability, and security. This role involves a unique blend of high-end 2nd-line and 3rd-line technical support, leadership, and strategic planning capabilities.

    You will drive initiatives to identify and mitigate potential issues before they affect our operations, lead a small team of engineers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT landscape.

    Responsibilities:

    \tSystem Monitoring and Maintenance:
    Regularly check IT systems to identify and address issues proactively. \r
    \tPerformance Optimisation:
    Develop and implement strategies to enhance system performance and reliability. \r
    \tIncident Management:
    Take the lead on complex technical issues, offering expertise in troubleshooting and resolution. \r
    \tTeam Leadership:
    Mentor and guide a team of IT professionals, promoting a proactive maintenance culture. \r
    \tProcess Improvement:
    Evaluate and refine maintenance processes and procedures to enhance efficiency. \r
    \tSecurity Oversight:
    Ensure the integrity and security of systems in compliance with industry standards. \r
    \tProject Management:
    Oversee projects related to system upgrades and enhancements, from planning to execution. \r
    \tStakeholder Communication:
    Liaise with IT teams and stakeholders to ensure maintenance activities align with business objectives. \r

    Essential Skills and Experience:
    \r

    \r

    \r
    \tStrong background in proactive system maintenance, with proficiency in high-end 2nd line and 3rd line support. \r
    \tComprehensive knowledge of network infrastructure, server environments, virtualization technologies, and security protocols. \r
    \tSkilled in Microsoft Windows environments, Active Directory, and cloud technologies. \r
    \tProven track record of leading and developing technical teams. \r
    \tExceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. \r
    \tEffective communication and interpersonal abilities \r
    \r
    \r


    Desirable Qualifications:
    \r

    \r

    \r
    \tCertifications in CompTIA, ITIL, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or related fields. \r
    \tExperience in managing IT projects and driving process improvements. \r

    \r


    Additional Requirements:

    \tExperience with SSL certificates, domain renewals, and backup and replication software (Veeam preferred). \r
    \tAn enthusiastic approach towards automating tasks and self-study on the latest technologies. \r
    \tA keen interest in all areas of Cyber Security, with a desire to develop expertise. \r
    \tWillingness to liaise with third parties, including attending conferences around the country, albeit infrequently. \r
