    Our client schoolis looking for a Year 1teacher based in the heart of Westminster This is an opportunityto work within an amazing primary school in West London. The schoolis looking to appoint a class teacher who will enjoy teaching anacademic yet creative topicbased curriculum in a school withexceptional pastoral care.     Year1 Teacher responsibilities:

    Planprepare and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to Year 1students using creativity and innovation to keep the studentsengaged.

    Assess and evaluate student progressproviding formal and informal feedback to students andparents.

    Collaborate with colleagues to planprepare and participate in school events including extracurricularactivities.

    Establish and maintain open andpositive communication with students parents andcolleagues.

    Utilise a studentcentered approachto teaching encouraging independent thinking andproblemsolving.

    Incorporate inclusive practicesinto teaching approaches recognising the diverse needs ofstudents.

    Ensure accurate recordkeepingincluding attendance records and student data in line with theschoolspolicies.

    Year 1Teacher requirements:

    QTS PGCEand strong academic record

    Experience teachingkey stage 1 students.

    Knowledge andunderstanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage1.

    Excellent communication skills both verbaland written.

    Highly organised and able to managecompeting demands effectively.

    Demonstratedability to work effectively as part of a team.

    Passionate about teaching and creating a positive learningenvironment.

    Salary

    Thesalary for this Year 1 position will be paid to scale on atemporary to permanent contract to scaleMPS/UPS.
