    We're now looking for a Director of Governance Services to help us in the next phase of our growth.

    This is a senior leadership role where you can truly demonstrate your skills, experience and knowledge with significant room for further progression.

    build relationships, getting involved in thought-provoking and varied projects and demanding transactions across different sectors
    meet and exceed our clients' expectations with high quality work, advice and guidance
    serve as Company Secretary of our client companies, providing trusted assistance and advice to our clients' boards, including shaping the agendas and meeting papers, attending and minuting meetings and offering follow-up support

    provide advisory guidance on regulatory compliance and corporate governance issues and ensure our clients' compliance needs are met, whether that is the requirements of the listing rules, MAR etc or more general Companies Act matters.

    demonstrate leadership and share your expertise with colleagues to ensure all work is of the highest standard and to help develop and nurture the skills, knowledge and experience of more junior team members.

    A Chartered Governance Professional with 10 years' relevant experience , including at least five years' working at a senior level (e.g. senior manager / deputy secretary), ideally you will have experience in a regulated industry (e.g. insurance, asset management, banking, pensions etc).

    Experience of working with boards and committees, including in a listed environment is essential, along with comprehensive knowledge of the Companies Act 2006, listing rules, corporate governance best practice and other related regulatory requirements.

    You will have experience of managing complex and/or international groups of companies and have a good grasp of remuneration related knowledge and operation of share incentive schemes.

    It is expected that 2-3 days will be based in the office (Leigh-on-Sea/Southend-on-Sea, Essex).
