Your New Role
Are you a Production lead who is driven to meet deadlines? Someone who has got a can-do attitude with a hands-on approach.
We now have an exciting opportunity to bring on board a Production Lead to join our Manufacturing Family in our Ellesmere Port, Cheshire site You will be involved in the new single seater life raft production line.
This role will entail controlling and operating machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line.
Additionally, this role will provide start of shift, end of shift, safety review and work allocation support to the production supervisor to support coordination of large numbers of production operatives.
What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- You will carry out start and End of shift Safety team checks on behalf of the production supervisor
- Allocating work to own self and members of the team to support the team meeting overall production targets
- You will be responsible for conducting and supporting training and coaching to improve team skills to meeting production targets
- Operating various pieces of equipment and machinery safely as part of a manufacturing production line
- Carry out operational tasks to Survitec Standard, ensuring work is completed right first time and flagging any instances of variation or failure to meet standard
- Maintain and repair equipment and appliances by carrying out standard preparation, inspection or maintaining
- Involved in supporting the quality function by working within strict quality standards and identifying instances of noncompliance
- You will follow the mandatory work instructions, including the use of personal protection equipment where relevant to ensure safeguarding of the environment and the wellbeing of you and others
The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have
Essential Criteria
- Educated to High School level with 2 GCSEs or equivalent
- You must have an ability to prioritize work tasks
- You will have a cando attitude with a handson approach
- Excellent communication skills both written and Verbal
- Knowledge and Experience of the Microsoft Suit
- Be willing to work shifts
Desirable Criteria
- Some experience of operating complex machinery is desirable, but not necessary as full training is provided
