    Brands & Properties: Communications Internship

    Our Grassroots internships are back for 2024 We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our UK Communications teams this summer on a paid six-month internship starting from June 2024. This programme will give you the opportunity to experience the breadth of our Communications scope in the sports and entertainment landscape across disciplines of Strategy and Planning, PR and Media relations, Reputation Management and Digital and Content Communications.

    We are looking for those who have a real interest in communications and the sport industry. Ideally we're looking to recruit an intern who has a level of communications understanding or study, has strong written and analytical skills and who is eager to learn and get stuck in during a busy summer, as we work to bring to life a range of exciting brand activations across a multitude of sport clients.

    What you will be doing?

    Our Wasserman Brands & Properties Communications team manage multiple key partnerships across sports and entertainment including cricket, football, rugby, Formula 1 and baseball and we need an enthusiastic and driven intern to support. The role will primarily be working and learning key disciplines of PR & Media Communications plus Digital and Content Communications.

    Day to day responsibilities across multiple clients will involve:

    • Event support, including planning and delivery
    • Day to day desk research requirements
    • Media relations, including support drafting written media materials and developing PR toolkits
    • Reporting on events and projects
    • Input and drafting of briefing documents

    • This role involves working on events and engaging with sports fans/the media/general public. Talk us through how you would respond if a journalist told you that they were planning to write a negative story about the brand that you're working on behalf of?
    • You're the captain of a football / rugby / any sport () team and you're currently playing a match. It's halftime and your team is losing. You're in the dressing room leading the team talk – what do you say to your team to motivate them for the second half?
