    This role allows the possibility ofhybrid working, meaning you will be required to commute to the stated base 2 or3 days per week but allowing you to based within any commutable distance forthe remainder of your week.     In the Bromsgrove Neighbourhood MentalHealth Team (NMHT) we strive to improve the mental health and wellbeing of ourlocal communities.

    We have incorporated a huddle into thedaily functioning of the team which enables us to be focused on the recovery ofthe patient through a multidisciplinary approach, with expertise from doctors,nurses, occupational therapists, support workers and psychological therapiesstaff.

    Main duties of the job

    Will work as akey member and resource of the MDT core team.

    This post willoffer a challenging and exciting opportunity to gain experience of workingacross North Community Mental Health Service, developing relationships withPrimary Care, partner agencies and wider mental health services.

    You will havethe opportunity to design and deliver evidence-based recovery focused mentalhealth interventions and groups. Knowledgeof delivery psychoeducation within a group environment and 1:1 would be anadvantage.

    You will haveexperience of working with this user group in community settings. You will havea registered qualification in mental health nursing, occupational therapy orsocial work.

    You will hold a blended caseload of common mental health disorders, severe mentalillness patients, Primary and Secondary, including those with emotional needs.

    The ability towork flexibly as the need of the service demands is essential.

    Attend weekly MDT meetings, participatein professionals meetings, signpost to adjunct services depending on patientneed.

    Support and guidance to the carers ofpatients accessing the services

    Job description

    Job responsibilities

    Act as a role model to colleagues, always seeking to maintain the highest standards of professionalism.

    Use their initiative and take responsibility for themselves and the quality of their work and the service they provide to patients.

    Work across all clinically appropriate patients, 17-years-old and over, to deliver evidence-based interventions.

    Under the direction of Service Lead and as part of the Community Mental Health Service, provide prompt local assessment, triage, risk assessment, risk management, signposting, onward referral and evidence-based interventions for people presenting with mental health problems.

    Represent the team on specific projects and working groups as required.

    Experience

    Essential

  • Experience of working in a Mental Health setting
  • Assessment of people presenting with mental health problems
  • Assessment and management of clinical risk
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Managing own case load
  • Knowledge

    Essential

  • Knowledge of principles of assessment of people with mental health problems
  • Knowledge of principles of risk assessment and management
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983 and Mental Capacity Act 2006 and other relevant legislation
  • Additional Criteria

  • Able to meet the travel requirements of the post
  • Qualifications

  • Relevant professional qualification relating to Health or Social Care in social work, nursing, OT with current professional registration
  • RMN, BSc/DipSW, BSc OT
