    Purpose of role: The Marine Survey Manager role is integral to the effective execution of surveys across Marine, responsible for providing support in the design, procurement, and delivery of surveys, ensuring adherence to high standards of data management and evidence collection.

    This role requires expertise in managing contracting, onboarding, and specifications contributes to the seamless coordination of survey activities, supporting data-driven decision-making and strategic alignment within Marine.

    Main Accountabilities:

    • Manage the design, procurement, and delivery of survey campaigns across the Marine sector, ensuring compliance with established protocols and industry best practices
    • Manage the contracting process, including negotiations, agreements, and legal considerations, to facilitate the seamless engagement of survey-related services
    • Oversee the onboarding of survey teams and contractors, ensuring alignment with project objectives and data collection requirements
    • Develop clear and precise survey specifications, outlining objectives, methodologies, and performance criteria to guide survey activities in line with The Crown Estate's Health and Safety priorities
    • Ensure efficient data management practices, including data gathering, reporting, and evidence collection, to support accurate and insightful decision-making
    • Collaborate with stakeholders and external partners, to facilitate effective stakeholder engagement and management throughout the survey lifecycle
    • Maintain a strong focus on sustainability principles, aligning survey activities with broader environmental and socioeconomic goals
    • Leverage technological insights and assessments to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of survey operations within Marine

    Knowledge, skills & experience:

    • Proficiency in data management, gathering, reporting, and evidence collection, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
    • Strong understanding of marine evidence collection, survey methodologies, and technological advancements within the context of marine activities
    • Demonstrable Health and safety experience; with a sound knowledge of HSE management in the marine environment associated with survey campaigns
    • Effective stakeholder engagement and management skills to foster collaboration and ensure alignment with survey objectives
