Qualified Solicitor - Blackpool, United Kingdom - Federation of Small Businesses
Description
FSB is seeking a Qualified Solicitor on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract to manage the initiation and maintenance of contracts and agreements with support from Senior Managers and the Company Solicitors.
The role is on a Fixed Term Contract initially with thepossibility of a permanent role at the end of the contract.
What will you do?
- Draft and review contracts and other legal documents on behalf of the business
- Create and update template contracts in line with legal requirements
- Manage the contract process, including administration of contract management system and robust processes
- Oversee any issues relating to Trading Standards and Intellectual Property in liaison, where appropriate, with FSB legal advisors
- Instruct and liaise with the Groups legal representatives (outsourced solicitors, trademark advisors)
- Negotiate contract amendments with 3rd parties.
- Prioritise contracts activity
- Liaise with Director of Corporate Governance on legal activity
- Liaise with internal stakeholders on legal activity, contract lifecycle management
- Research including new legal and regulatory developments
- Advise on obligations and risk
Who are we looking for?
- Experience as an inhouse legal assistant
- Process improvement
- Successfully managed implemented processes and procedures for contract approval
- Knowledge of contract law
- Excellent knowledge of legal terminology

- 35 hours per week
