Permanent.
Hourly rate is dependent on experience and up to £10.90 per hour
Here at ClwydAlyn, we are looking to recruit a Trainee cook at Hafan Gwydir that will work alongside the scheme's cook and assist in the preparation and provision of meals, and support the day to day running of the kitchen.

Who are we looking for?
The post is in one of our Extra Care Schemes in Llanrwst in a modern kitchen producing & delivering the daily lunchtime meal to our tenants in the scheme restaurant at this Independent Living scheme for older people.
- Someone that will support in the preparation of food, making/baking of desserts
- Assist in maintaining stock levels
- Support the cook/cook in charge/chef in maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- A willingness to work towards full requirements of the Cook role and is expected to complete Level 2 in Hospitality and Catering and a recognised team leader/management qualification.
- Someone who has had previous experience working within the hospitality / care sector
Skills and Qualifications required for the role:
- Basic IT skills
- A strong team player
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Cash handling
- Good general hygiene skills
This role requires an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check which we pay for.
