The Donkey Sanctuary is an international animal welfare organisation, offering care and protection to donkeys worldwide. Our vision is a world where every donkey has a good quality of life, and our mission is to improve the lives of donkeys every day. We will achieve this by transforming the lives of donkeys in need worldwide by fostering greater understanding, collaboration and support, and by promoting lasting, mutually life-enhancing relationships.

Volunteers have been at the heart of our work for many years and will be an integral part of the charity reaching its goals in the future. If you have an interest in horticulture, possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and would like to give the gift of time to The Donkey Sanctuary, we are looking for a volunteer to support our busy Retail and Gardening Teams based at our main site in Sidmouth, East Devon – a designated area of natural beauty.

You will be able to help us with
After completing a 1-day induction, you will be a true ambassador for The Donkey Sanctuary, enhancing every visitors' day and ensuring both existing and potential supporters feel valued and well looked after whilst visiting the site.
Full manual handling, till operation, GDPR, card payment and customer service training will be given.
