- Compiling staff rotas, dealing with leave requests and arranging cover when necessary
- Planning workloads, allocating tasks and monitoring progress against targets
- Briefing their teams on new initiatives, changes to targets and company news
- Maintaining safety standards, conducting risk assessments, ensuring staff have adequate first aid and fire safety training
- Training and helping staff reach their professional development goals
- Devising work schedules and implementing deadlines
- Ensuring that quality standards are upheld
- Conducting performance reviews
- Professional –Adhere to all cleaning schedules
- Suction clean floors, Damp mopping floor areas, including the removal of spillages as they occur
- Spray polish/buff floor areas with a mechanical buffer
- Damp dusting furniture, fixtures and fittings, high and low dusting
- Cleaning ward/kitchen areas sink units, floors, work surfaces and cupboards etc.
- Emptying waste bins, etc. taking rubbish to the designated collection point
- Cleaning toilets wash hand basins, baths, showers, sanichairs and hoists, as required
- Replenishing paper hand towels, liquid soap and toilet paper on a daily basis
- Cleaning all internal glass
- Carry out Credits for Cleaning checks quality control checks
- Compliance with the Trust and Local health and safety requirements including COSHH, reporting potential hazards immediately
- Ensuring Trust and Local manual handling techniques are followed
- Comply with the Trust and Local Infection control procedures
- Adhere to the colour coding policies
- Maintain a high level of personal hygiene
- Wear the uniform provided and personal protective equipment as specified
- Ensuring cleaning equipment is kept clean and in good working order, inspecting it on a regular basis
- Ensuring correct, economical and safe use of materials and equipment
- Reporting mechanical and other defects to management

NHS Housekeeping Supervisor
To provide cleaning services and Supervision support to hospitals/healthcare in accordance with the standards and systems laid down by Facilities Management.
Location:
Isle of Wight, MUST be happy to travel between sites when required
Temporary:
Expected to be ongoing with potential to go permanent
Hours / days:
37.5 hours a week. Working 5 days across Monday-Sunday
Working 7.5hrs shifts between 7am -5pm
Working weekends twice a month
Pay:
Monday-Friday:
£13 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
Saturdays:
£14. per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
Sundays:
£16.00 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
