    About the Role

    Cell biologists at Sygnature Discovery play an essential role in supporting and leading client projects as well as developing specialist cell based assays. The growing team is looking for a talented Cell Biologist to push and lead our capabilities even further.

    As a Bioscientist within the Cell Biology team you will join a dynamic department actively working in the discovery of new drugs for a broad range of projects, molecular targets and therapeutic indications.

    Role Responsibilities
    • Working within teams generating novel stable cell lines.
    • Performing cell based assays to aid in the drug discovery process.
    • Managing cell biology-focussed projects for external and internal clients, including data analysis and report writing
    • Developing cell-based assays to enhance the company's future capabilities.
    • Supporting routine laboratory operations.
    • Presenting oral and written reports to internal and external clients.
    Candidate Requirements
    • Ideally you will have a PhD in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Cell biology, Molecular biology or a related discipline
    • A strong scientific track record with experience built within a drug discovery environment is highly desirable
    • A working knowledge of current trends in drug discovery
    • Knowledge and demonstrated experience of a broad range of bioscience related disciplines (cell biology, pharmacology, molecular biology) and their application to drug discovery
    • Experience of GPCRs and cell signalling, flow cytometry, protein-protein interactions, reporter assays and high-throughput assays would be beneficial
    • Ability to develop novel assays from first principles and interpret complex biological datasets
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to present complex scientific ideas and datasets to key stakeholders
