    SLD Power & Pumps now has an opportunity for a Dewatering Operator/Installer covering the UK. The main goal of this role is to provide installation of Wellpoint Systems on customer sites across the UK.

    Responsibilities

    As a Dewatering Operator/Installer, your responsibilities will include:

  • To adhere to all Health & Safety procedures at all times whether in the depot or on site
  • The installation of wellpoint dewatering systems and equipment
  • To maintain wellpoint equipment in a state of readiness for hire
  • To work closely with the Depot Supervisor and Manager to act quickly when required within the depot and on site, and to establish an open system of communication to ensure the consistent treatment of site demands etc.
  • There is a frequent requirement to stay away from home as the work is carried out on various sites across the UK
  • To work on site installing and setting up suction wellpoint dewatering systems using conventional jetting techniques
  • To be able to work on own initiative in overcoming potential difficulties that may be encountered on site, whilst maintaining open and effective lines of communication between site personnel and the depot.
  • To maintain and service all wellpoint header system within the depot in readiness for call off as required.
  • To assist with the loading and unloading of equipment onto vehicles for delivery and collection
  • Ensure that all workplace and vehicle standards for cleanliness and tidiness are maintained
  • Requirements

    As a minimum you must:

  • Be able to work independently
  • Undertake manual handling of plant & equipment including installation
  • Be prepared to work away from home on a regular and frequent basis
  • Be prepared to work wherever required throughout the UK
  • Undergo skills training including NVQ2
  • Possess excellent team working skills
  • Be flexible in your approach to work
  • Have excellent time management skills
  • Possess a full UK driving licence
