An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Planning and Global Supply Chain team in the role of Senior Logistics Executive.
You will be the first escalation point for the Planning and Global Supply Chain team to identify and resolve any shipments at risk, engaging with our freight partners to ensure our freight moves easily, efficiently and compliantly.
You will work closely with cross functional teams across the wider Edrington business to deliver on our key business objectives.
Job DescriptionReporting to the UK Freight and Logistics Manager, the key responsibilities for this role include:
- Management and resolution of any at risk shipments, working closely with internal and external stakeholders as required
- Develop partnership approach with freight partners, working together to optimise performance, review performance with regular face to face meetings
- Continually reviewing opportunities with the F&L Manager to deliver on Innovation, Continuous Improvement and our Sustainability Agenda, and to build additional Resilience and Risk and Controls Management Strategies into our Supply Chain
- Delivering logístical expertise in managing freight solutions for our Prestige and Luxury Products
- Lead and deliver online booking, documentation, shipment monitoring and volume forecasting capabilities with our freight partners
- Implement and monitor full tracking and reporting capabilities with freight partners for outbound and inbound shipments i.e. finished goods, POS, dry materials, casks and glass
- Supporting F&L Manager in tender process, rate maintenance, freight variances, freight budget process and internal reporting
To be considered for this role, you should have extensive Logistics, Supply Chain and Export/Import experience. You will have a sound working knowledge of PC platforms. Importantly, you will have the ability to demonstrate a high degree of organisation, problem solving and analytical skills.
You will be an effective communicator, with the ability to build good working relationships with a range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
