Job Summary

Seeking casual catering assistants at the Barn Cafe at Grimsbury Farm
:

We are looking for casual catering assistants to support us through the busy summer holidays.

The Barn Cafe at Grimsbury Farm (in Kingswood, Bristol) offers employment training to people with learning disabilities who want a career in catering or hospitality.

The cafe\'s opening hours are and you will work a range of hours across 7 days a week.

Benefits:

Pay rates are £8.00 p/h at age 16 and £9.50p/h aged 25 and over.

Full training provided.

Time to complete training is paid

We cover the cost of DBS checks

Rota\'s are planned in advance.

You will:

You're flexible, cheerful, creative, reliable and hardworking.

Have good communication skills.

Be resilient and respect people's differences.

Ideally, you'll have catering or cooking experience (paid or voluntary).

It is essential that you are available to work during school / college holidays as these are our peak periods.

Your responsibilities:

You\'ll support the catering manager to ensure the smooth running of the cafe.

Support the café team during busy periods in preparing, cooking and presenting food.

Provide excellent customer service.

Ensure the kitchen, serving and seating areas are kept clean and tidy, as well as wash floors and re-stock goods.

You will be offered shifts, usually to work on days between 9am and 4pm as they become available.

About the role

Brandon exists to enable children, young people and adults with a learning disability, autism, or both, to live life in the way they choose.

We provide high-quality, individualised support to around 1,600 people and have a staff team of over 2,000.

Operating across southern England and London, support is provided by a widely dispersed workforce, including public spaces and the homes of the people we support.
