The Business

Nigel Wright have been exclusively appointed to support a manufacturing company based on the ourtskirts of Newcastle with the recruitment of a Part time Financial Controller.


The Role

Duties will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Daily cashflow management and forecasting
  • Invoice finance management and monthly reconciliations
  • Preparation of weekly KPI reports
  • PAYE payments, CIS submissions and VAT returns
  • Statutory and statistical returns
  • Annual statutory audit/accounts
  • End of tax year payroll, P60s, P11Ds, Class 1A NICs
  • Management of credit control, invoicing, sales order raising, purchase ledger and weekly payroll functions. Providing cover for these functions when necessary
  • Performing the salaried monthly payroll
  • Basic IT support and coordination of external support.
  • General process support to purchasing, stock control, despatch
  • Reporting of results to senior management
  • Involvement in development of all company processes
  • Managing a small experienced team

Criteria
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
Strong stakeholder engagement skills
Ideal background in manufacturing or engineering sector
Strong IT skills
A problem solving / inquisitive mindset
Costings system experience

Package
4 days a week
Salary - £ £62,500 pa pro rata
Hols - 25 days + bank hols (pro rata)
Pension - auto enrolment
