    About the role

    We're looking for a Pricing Analyst to join our Commercial team.

    The primary purpose of the Pricing Analyst is to support the function of the Pricing Team. They will play a key role in developing effective pricing strategies, analysing financial data and ensuring that pricing helps drive our wider commercial objectives.

    The role holder will be responsible for the financial modelling of pricing deals across the different products and entities in the group. They will also be responsible for management and governance of the pricing request process. Provision of analysis and reporting of pricing deals and existing business is also required. Understand the requirements of Consumer Duty, embedding these values into our pricing decisions and producing Fair Value assessments for our products.

    They will establish a broad knowledge of all departments, understanding our advisors and customers and the subsequent flow of work between departments to meet their needs. The role requires organisation and problem-solving skills with a high level of rigour applied to financial modelling, analysis and reporting key information.

    You'll spend your time:

  • Supporting the Pricing Team with oversight of pricing deals, tracking progress of these deals, and keeping stakeholders informed
  • Financial modelling of pricing opportunities including liaising with other areas of the company
  • Supporting management of pricing requests from Sales
  • Market research of competitor pricing required for any pricing opportunities
  • Regular reporting and analysis on performance of pricing deals
  • Communication of pricing opportunities and analysis to other members of the team and other stakeholders
  • Providing ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required
  • Support on financial model development
  • Support annual product reviews and fair value assessments
  • Support on regulatory projects as required
  • Representing Pricing Team interests in working groups and forums as required
  • Continuously role modelling Nucleus' values, and inspiring others to do the same
  • Responsible for managing their own delegated workload, they will have the opportunity to prioritise activity and make decisions to effectively manage events and issues to resolution.
  • A bit about you

    Your friends would probably describe you as the one who loves to work with data and understand what it means, seeing beyond the numbers and providing commercial insight.

    We've always placed more importance on cultural contribution above technical ability, but we'd really like you to have/be:

  • Prior experience of working in a pricing function would be advantageous but not necessary
  • A broad background within financial services
  • Excellent mathematical/numerical skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage and interpret large data-sets
  • Strong organisation skills and capacity to multi- task
  • Willingness to try new things and embrace change
  • Resilient, with the ability to work independently and take the initiative
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced project environment and knowledge of project management disciplines and best practice
