    Due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our Northeast Security Team, we are looking for experienced Security Service and Maintenance Engineers.

    As a Security Service & Maintenance Engineer, you will form a key member of the security team, you will be responsible for Servicing and maintenance of intruder, CCTV, Access Control, Security Systems equipment in accordance with the industry standards.

    The primary purpose of this position is to undertake all various pre-planned and reactive service and maintenance activities and necessary repairs.

    You would be communicating with the client/customer, coordinating works onsite, ordering materials and plant through your project manager and ensuring service maintenance repairs and planned preventative maintenance activities are completed to the company, client and industry standards.

    You will be required to participate in the company's on call rota.

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

    • Servicing & maintenance, of Intruder Alarms, IP Surveillance, Access Control and related Network cabling Infrastructure Systems or related equipment, following drawing of electrical layouts and building plans in accordance with NSI and relevant Codes of Practice/Policies.
    • Servicing / maintenance, testing of Disabled Refuge, Public Address, Call System & Induction Loops in accordance with relevant British Standard and other relevant Codes of Practice/Policies.
    • Liaising with ARC (Alarm receiving centres)
    • Production of high quality documentation.
    • Client training and demonstration of systems to explain the systems working and functionality.
    • Responding to out of hours service calls.
    • To carry out necessary repairs/additional works as appropriate.
    • Assisting in the physical installation of works on projects
    • Take responsibility for the completion of all company documentation in line with company policies and processes.
    • Communicating with the client/contractor in a professional manner.
    • Assist in the monitoring and subsequent improvement of all required Health and Safety on site

    Person Specification

    Technical Competencies - Essential

    • Demonstrate at least 3 years previous experience in a Security role.
    • Demonstrate a general knowledge of Security Systems - Intruder Alarms, Access control, CCTV and Intercom
    • Demonstrate strong communication skills.
    • Sound administration skills with an understanding of the importance of paperwork and the accuracy and timeliness of submission of same.
    • Full Driving License (subject to inspection for company insurances)
    • Employment will be subject to successful BS7858 security screening and Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
    • Must be willing to work away from time to time.

    Technical Competencies - Desirable

    • Knowledge of IP Systems / Networking is preferable
    • Knowledge of various manufacturers equipment ie: Paxton, Honeywell, Texecom , Bosch, Hikvision
    • Manufacturers training for any of the following: Paxton, Honeywell, Texecom , Bosch , Hikvision
