    Mac Recruit Group require an Outage Engineer to join our client, a global leader in the energy from waste sector. The Outage Engineer will play a crucial role the includes a range of responsibilities related to planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance and outage activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the company's plants all over England.

    Outage Engineer duties & responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with plant management, operations, and maintenance teams to plan and schedule outage activities, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
    • Coordinate resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials required for outage activities, ensuring availability and efficiency.
    • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment during outage periods.
    • Manage outage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Provide technical expertise and support to resolve issues and challenges encountered during outage activities, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
    • Maintain accurate records of outage activities, including work orders, reports, and documentation of equipment conditions and maintenance activities.
    • Coordinate communication among various stakeholders, including plant personnel, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure smooth execution of outage activities and timely resolution of issues.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations governing power plant operations and maintenance.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in outage planning and execution, and implement best practices to optimize plant performance.
    • Ensures that risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are reviewed with regards to HSE requirements and that work is carried out in accordance with the RAMS

    Requirements for Outage Engineer:

    • Education as Process or Mechanical Engineer
    • Experienced in site management and control of outage / retrofit project mechanical services for large industrial plants
    • Experienced in the co-ordination of contracts / contractors on site
    • Experienced as a leader of HSEQ and has knowledge of relevant HSEQ legal and management system requirements

    Salary & benefits for Outage Engineer:

    • £62,000
    • Car or car allowance
    • Bupa Private Med including partner and children up to 25 years as long as they still live at home
    • Up to 10% Contributory Pension
    • 4x salary DIS
    • Income protection plan
    • Overtime Rates – Monday to Saturday 140%, Sundays, and bank holidays 180%
    • Daily Accommodation Allowance – Outside M25: £45/ night, Inside M25: £55/ night
    • Meal Allowance – £25/ day
    • Bonus - targeted at 8.5% of base salary; based on company and personal targets
    • Annual leave – 24 days holiday per annum, plus public holidays
