The opportunity

EY's Global Data Office is seeking a Data Consumption Leader to spearhead our growth of common external data assets and products.

This is a new position responsible for driving awareness, adoption, standards, and capabilities for the use of EY's growing portfolio of external data providers.

This position will continue to build and manage the global operations of a virtually dispersed team that leads:

Business operations to onboard relevant content and external provider's technology into EY's ecosystem
Stewardship of external enterprise content, to ensure sources are available to meet demand
Vendor management to ensure awareness, support and performance levels met service agreements
Services and capabilities directly to EY's professionals for data discovery of externally sourced content

This is a key role to support the growth of reusable data within a larger, multi-national organization.

Being at the center of data will require you to have strong management skills and expertise in Data Supply Chains and Data Pipelines.

Your key responsibilities
As the Data Consumption Leader, you will be a member of the Data Office's extended leadership team.

As such, you will be expected to share your expertise as we jointly bring EY Data Strategy to live and democratize data across the organization.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Maximizing the use and value of external data for the firm through effective operations management
Developing and growing the Data Consumption organization to meet the external data and service needs of EY's global organization
Jointly forecasting and planning with Data Acquisition to fulfill demand for data assets via pipelines and platform capabilities
Sponsoring and collaborating on initial use cases and pipelines for ingestion into EY environments to showcase new data domains and capture initial value of acquired data.
Providing business leadership for the operation of common data pipelines, as part of EY's data supply chain
Managing the portfolio of common, external data environments from leading data providers
Providing distinctive support services to discover and leverage common data assets

Skills and attributes for success

Deep data supply chain expertise, including the business requirements needed to support a global organization
Technology operations professional with the ability to build and coach a global team
Maturity to manage to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problemsolving capabilities
Practical knowledge of vendor management, policy management and/or support services management
Ability to be a trusted advisor and partner to supporting functions and stakeholders
Perceived as thought leader for External Data Governance and Stewardship
Representative of enterprise data strategy for data onboarding requirements
Executive presence to provide status updates, issues / challenges / risks and solutions to senior management

To qualify for the role you must have

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Organization Design or Business Operations. Advanced degree is preferred.
Reputable procurement and/or supply chain certifications
Azure pipeline, data factory or other ingestion framework certifications
12+ years of relevant work experience for data ingestion or data acquisition
5+ years of management experience with increasing responsibility, including managing globally dispersed, virtual teams and programs
