    Description
    Direct Ecology Ltd is a leading independent ecological consultancy business located in Dunblane, Central Scotland. Established in 2008, we have a friendly team of 19 ecologists and two office staff. Our expertise lies in providing ecological surveys and reporting for proposed development sites.

    We specialize in providing services including ecology survey (birds, bats, habitats, protected species, peat depth and condition), BNG, BREEAM assessments, Ecological Clerk of Works services, and GIS work.

    Our team holds appropriate survey licenses and has extensive experience in obtaining development licenses for protected species.
    This is a full-time hybrid role for an Ecologist at Direct Ecology Ltd.

    As an Ecologist, your day-to-day tasks will involve conducting field work, wildlife surveys, ornitholoical surveys/ botanical survey and report writing.

    The role is primarily based in Dunblane, with flexibility for remote work in Scotland. Protected species survey and field work experience
    Proficient in report writing
    Knowledge of botany and plant identification and/or excellent ornithogical survey skills
    An advantage to have experience in conducting environmental impact assessments
    Experience with GIS software and data analysis
    Hold relevant qualifications or certifications in ecology or related fields
    Competitive salary £25,000 - £30,000 depedending on experience
