Events Account Director, Peterborough


Resolve Recruitment Services are working with an award-winning B2B events business who are looking for a talented Events Account Director with proven experience.

The team are searching for an individual with a proven track record of growing B2B event revenuesto join the group and help with the successful execution of its events strategy across the portfolio.


The role:


  • To identify customers' marketing needs and goals using a consultative approach and provide the right commercial solutions to match their marketing and business objectives in line with your market/title strategy primarily across exhibitions, conferences,and awards
  • Title, event, market, and financial management
  • Utilising brand assets
  • Achieving revenue and yield targets supports other team members at every opportunity with this process
  • Accurate personal forecasting supports other team members at every opportunity with this process
  • Growing customer spend by managing existing customers and creating new opportunities
  • Drives own activity levels, arranging and setting a key number of facetoface client meetings based on customer numbers
  • Acts as a mentor for others within the commercial team
  • Ownership of a set number of 'Key' accounts within your market determined by spend and brand authority
  • Understanding market conditions and competitive forces
  • Understanding and delivering additional marketing solutions based on trends within the industry
  • Keeping accurate customer records using internal CRM system
  • Leading and contributing to sales/brand/market/editorial meetings
  • Is the face of the market being represented is the key link between key accounts and editorial/marketing teams
  • Supporting brand specific sales staff by sharing knowledge and key insights into set market
  • Compliance with relevant data protection guidelines

The person:

Essential: 3 years plus experience within a senior sales role in the events/conferences industry:

  • Identifies new revenue opportunities
  • Proactively builds customer loyalty
  • Stays on trend to deliver up to date customer solutions and initiates creative thinking
  • Uses advanced influencing/sales skills based on indepth product knowledge
  • Understands and uses data to support compelling arguments and strengthen proposition
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Best in class presentation skills
  • Uses both internal and external research and data when analysing market/customer base to ensure the right decisions are made based on facts
  • Delivers clear and accurate forecasting in line with business objectives

The package:


  • Competitive basic salary of £47,500
