Temporary Senior Design Engineer Drainage - Engineering & Surveying Reference no: Bradford Pay rate: £16.28 per hour PAYE Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 16:00 This opening assignment is for 1-2 months City: BRADFORD, Yorkshire A Senior Design Engineer Drainage is required to work in the Lead Local Flood Authority Drainage team and to undertake a statutory consultation role as Lead Local Flood Authority for Planning Authority, providing technical advice on surface water drainage for major developments.

Provide effective advice and expertise within the Land Drainage team of Development Services to ensure that it makes the maximum contribution to the regeneration and sustainability of the district through effective delivery of projects with particular regard to the effective and proactive implementation of drainage related projects.

Assist in the delivery of the Council's transport programme by developing drainage solutions within projects through various stages of design from feasibility to planning/detailed design and onto construction.

Consultee to the Local Planning Authority - Policy and Development Management.
Progress Lead Local Flood Authority Capital Flood Risk Investment programme.
Scheme development, design and procurement.
Advise of Flood Risk and Drainage matters on Council-led projects.
Develop, maintain and monitor local flood risk management strategies.
Enforcement of Land Drainage law against unconsented watercourse works.
Work with communities to enable them to be more resilient to flood risk.
