    Description

    An exciting opportunity has arisen with an extremely reputable financial services organisation as a Chief People Officer. This position has been created in order to support the company in the next exciting phase of growth.

    An integral role within the management board and leadership structure, the CPO will lead the strategic development, implementation, and performance of the People agenda across all HR disciplines: Human Resources; Talent Acquisition; Reward; Learning & Development; and Organisation Design.

    Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

    Human Resources

    • Determine the most effective HR operating model to ensure that all HR operations, systems, processes, policies, and transactions are professionally managed and executed. Create a function that can effectively support and create excellence with its people for the business across all its locations.

    Talent Acquisition

    • Develop a framework that tracks global recruitment trends to enable the business to identify, attract, develop, deploy, and retain world-class talent to support the business and its growth agenda. Promote a people agenda internally and externally aligned with company values and the employee value proposition.

    Reward

    • Develop and manage a robust reward framework and capability and ensure the central reward team manages all reward and remuneration across the business.

    Learning & Development

    • Develop and manage a solid and respected learning and development function that delivers the company's human capital strategy, end-to-end talent management, succession planning and management, own the learning Academy.

    Organisation Design

    • Drive an organisation's design agenda to achieve its business goals and objectives and deliver and sustain its growth agenda—own workforce planning against budget.

    Leadership & Strategy

    • As a member of the Management Board, play a significant role in the leadership of the business, assuming collective responsibility for shaping and delivering business objectives and growth initiatives.

    Person Specification

    • Significant strategic, operational, and relevant functional HR leadership experience gained within a complex, commercial, geographically disparate organisation.
    • Substantial experience and a deep and broad understanding of HR strategies, policies, and disciplines.
    • Experience operating at a senior level and a demonstrable ability to influence a range of critical stakeholders, with a capacity to develop strong internal networks.
    • A proven ability to be a trusted advisor and partner to key stakeholders and business leaders.
    • A track record of delivering quantifiable successes within a complex operating environment.
    • A proven and confident leader in managing and developing high-performing teams, and experience instilling a strong culture of continuous improvement.
    • Ability to operate and engage at the Board / Executive level and across various stakeholders.
    • Degree educated, CIPD (or equivalent professional qualification) qualified, and further evidence of continuous professional development.
