Full-time position working during core business hours with the ability to undertake on-call duties as required. Extended working hours will be required at times to meet the needs of the service.


The post holder will provide clinical and professional leadership to a range of multi-professional services across the Tertiary Services portfolio of Cardiology, Cardiothoracic, Cardiac Critical Care, Theatres, Haematology / Oncology, Cystic Fibrosis and Specialist Eye (Tertiary).

The focus of the role will be to work in partnership the Senior Leadership Team within division to support the development and implementation of key priorities with regard to clinical quality, patient safety staff and patient experience.


The post holder will work through an integrated approach with a range of professionals including, but not exclusive to, Heads of Department, Directorate Managers, Matrons and Quality Managers to support day-to-day delivery of high quality, safe services.

Reporting to the Divisional Director of Nursing, the post holder will support delivery of the organisational and divisional key priorities aligned to the NHS Long Term Plan, the NHS Patient Safety Strategy, the CQC Key Lines of Enquiry and the Nursing Accreditation Standards


In partnership with managerial and clinical staff, the post holder will be responsible for embedding a culture that improves quality and reduces harm.

Are you educated to Masters level or have equivalent senior nursing experience?


We are seeking an experienced Clinical Leader with a track record to work with our dynamic clinical teams within the Division.

The successful applicant will have the ability to recognise and nurture the talent of others in the delivery of exemplary standards of care which are reflected through patient and staff experience feedback, improvement standards and delivery of organisational and Divisional CQC objectives.
