Description

Operations Business Risk and Controls department provides second line policy, procedures and methodology for the management of operational resilience and third party risk management, oversight, guidance, training, governance and automation for business risk and controls for the Operations Services, General Administration, Clearing and Payments departments.

As an Assistant Business Risk and Controls - Mandarin Speaking, you will be responsible for monitoring and verifying the MI reports, risk assessments and statistics summary, and make sure they are delivered in a timely manner in accordance with the Bank's procedures.

You will also be responsible for conducting control testing including quality assurance testing. This is a full time permanent position.


Key responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting independent analysis in order to identify emerging risk and trends to ensure that the business operates in accordance with the Bank's rules and regulations
  • Prepare debt products portfolio report for Head Office, management staff, regulatory bodies, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Discuss with Head Office to establish standards in terms of data requirements and processes. Report details on new projects and incidents as well as potential solutions
  • Collaborate across departments to resolve operational issues, incidents and other relevant matters
  • Using VBA to automate reconciliation, operating efficiency and data reports. Improve and modify current VBA programs according to the new changes
  • Reconcile interest, fees, and outstanding matters related to bilateral, syndication, and retail loan businesses on a monthly basis
  • Support the front line operational support teams to execute the first line of defence (1LoD)'s Operational Risk Management Programme

Requirements:


  • Degree educated in Finance, Economics or Accounting
  • Experience within the Financial Services industry and proven track record in similar business stream
  • Relevant professional qualification
  • Good knowledge of reconciliation and report analysis
  • Financial reporting and MI experience
  • Good understanding of VBA
  • Good MS Excel skills
  • Team player
  • Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
